THE PRODUCERS, the new film produced by Mel Brooks, directed by Susan Stroman, and starring Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Will Ferrell and Uma Thurman, hits cinemas nationwide on December 26th 2005 (certificate tbc).
This laugh out loud comedy is based on the hugely successful stage play of the same name and tells the story of a down on his luck producer (Lane) and his accountant (Broderick) and their ‘get rich quick’ plan – to overfinance a huge flop and pocket the excess budget…until the show unexpectedly becomes a smash hit!
