What if you knew, beyond a doubt, what was going to happen tomorrow? Whether you'd be rich or poor, a hero or loser, lucky in love, unlucky in life...what would you do? What if, by some magic, you found the power to really change things? People, events, maybe even your life. Would you even know where to start?

In EARLY EDITION, Kyle Chandler (Homefront) portrays Hobson, an unassuming Chicago-based stock broker who doesn't pay too much attention to the yellow tabby cat and copy of the Chicago Sun-Times that arrive one day at his doorstep, until he realizes the newspaper's dateline is wrong -- the paper is dated for the next day, and its articles are about things that haven't yet happened. When the cat and the newspaper arrive several days in a row, Hobson realizes that he has been given an extraordinary ability to see into the future and perhaps affect it positively. He stands to make a financial windfall at the stock market with his advance information, or he can use it to perhaps prevent tragedy from happening.

Co-starring with Chandler are Fisher Stevens as Chuck Fishman, Hobson's best friend who hopes to use the newspaper's "early edition" for his own personal gain, and Shanesia Davis as Hobson's blind co-worker, Marissa Clark, who serves as the trio's conscience and encourages Hobson to use his knowledge of the future for the good of others.

Hobson's gift brings with it a heavy burden that requires him to make difficult choices at times. Future episodes may unveil situations in which Hobson has to choose between two negative events, because being human, he can't be in all places at all times.
