Paget Brewster portrays Beth, Dr. Craig Huffstodt’s (HANK AZARIA) strong-willed wife, in the Sony Pictures Television original drama series HUFF, for Showtime.
Recently, Brewster co-starred in the highly regarded Fox series “Andy Richter Controls the Universe.” In the show, Paget played Jessica, Richter’s friend and boss. Prior to that, she was seen in the ABC comedy “The Trouble With Normal” as Claire, the neurotic therapist to four paranoid men (including Jon Cryer and David Krumholtz). She was also recently seen in the feature film “The Specials,” opposite Rob Lowe, Jamie Kennedy and Thomas Hayden Church, and the CBS telefilm “One True Love.”
Brewster is also recognized for her memorable performance on “Friends” as Kathy, the quirky girlfriend of Matt LeBlanc’s character Joey, with whom Chandler (Matthew Perry) falls in love. Brewster appeared in six-episodes of the hit series.
Brewster began her career in an off-Broadway production of David Rabe’s “Hurlyburly’” after graduating from the Parsons School of Design in New York. She moved to San Francisco and worked on the public access show “Strange America,” conducting interviews and doing sketch comedy, and then found herself an agent. She went on to host a local late-night talk show in San Francisco, “The Paget Show,” which ran for 65 episodes.
Brewster moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and has been working steadily ever since. Among her feature film credits are “The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle,” “Desperate but Not Serious,” and “Let’s Talk About Sex.” She is currently in production on “Cheer Up,” with Tommy Lee Jones, and plays the lead in “Big Fat Independent Movie,” a wild, comedic romp that sends up many recent independent films. On television, she starred in the series “Love and Money” and the TV movie “MAX Q,” with Billy Campbell. She was also the voice of Audrey in the animated series “Godzilla.” Her stage credits include “Tartuffe,” directed by Des McAnuff, “Four Dragons and a Bone,” “Chapter Two” and “Pack of Lies.”
Paget currently lives in Los Angeles.
