GLORIA REUBEN
(as “Brooke Haslett)
Emmy-nominated Gloria Reuben stars as Brooke Haslett, an FBI agent, partnered with a gifted young woman whose psychic abilities help them in their search for missing persons. Reuben is also the series’ associate producer.
Reuben most recently returned to television starring opposite Gil Bellows in “The Agency.” She has also recently starred in the cable movie “Feast of All Saints,” and she starred in the mini-series “Innocent Blood: The True Story of the Salem Witch Trials” opposite Shirley MacLaine.
Just prior to accepting her new role, Reuben came off a successful run with Michael Feinstein in his holiday show.
Her starring role as physician assistant Jeanie Boulet on the critically acclaimed drama series “E.R.” proved rewarding to Reuben. Her performances earned her multiple Emmy nominations as well as one for the Golden Globe.
Immediately following “E.R.,” Reuben switched gears and embarked on a U.S. tour, singing backup for the legendary Tina Turner. In addition to acting, Reuben is currently pursuing a solo singing career. She recently recorded the series title track for “MISSING.”
Born June 9 in Toronto, Canada, Reuben credits the early influences of her mother, an accomplished singer, for inspiring her to develop her performing talents. As a result, she began playing piano at an early age and studied music technique and theory, as well as ballet and jazz at the Canadian Royal Conservatory. After a brief stint at modeling, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Her other television credits include a regular role on the series, “The Round Table,” and the television movies “Soul Survivor,” “Johnny’s Girl,” “Confessions: Two Faces of Evil,” “Percy and Thunder” and “Indiscreet.” She has also guest-starred on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Homicide: Life on the Street,” “China Beach” and “The Young Riders,” among others.
In theatrical films, she has starred in “Shaft”; “Nick of Time,” with Johnny Depp; “Timecop,” with Jean Claude Van Damme; “MacBeth in Manhattan”; “Inferno” opposite Ray Liotta; and “Happy Here and Now,” with Ally Sheedy and David Arquette.
Onstage, she appeared in the off-Broadway production of “The Vagina Monologues.”
