JUSTINA MACHADO
(as “Sunny Estrada”)
Justina Machado stars as Sunny Estrada, an FBI Evidence Collection specialist and an expert in forensics. But there is much more to this energetic and whirlwind of a woman than just DNA analysis. Sunny comes from a long line of ambitious family members who have made her love and success in the field of science come naturally. Her mother is a psychiatrist, her father is a politician and her six siblings are all accomplished professionals in their respective fields. Despite the large family, Sunny manages to stand out.
Justina Machado was born and raised in the windy city of Chicago. She is the eldest of five children in a Puerto Rican family. Justina started her thespian career upon graduating from high school. Her stellar performances on stage at the Latino Chicago Theatre paved the way for her now burgeoning career.

The talented actress is currently starting her third season as a recurring character on HBO’s critically acclaimed and award winning “Six Feet Under.” Her character, “Vanessa,” will undoubtedly continue to have surprise storylines throughout the new season.

Machado also co-starred in New Line’s hit film “Final Destination 2,” which recently opened at number two at the box office. She is scheduled to co-star in the feature “Torque” from producer Neal Moritz, opposite Ice Cube. Set for the fall release, “Torque” depicts rival biker gangs pitted against each other with Machado portraying an FBI agent hired to put them away. She also had supporting roles in Steven Soderbergh’s groundbreaking film “Full Frontal” and in the Nick Cassavetes film “She’s So Lovely.”
On stage, Machado appeared at Los Angeles’ renowned Mark Taper Forum in “Blade to the Heat,” as well as in the production of “Black Butterfly.” On television, Justina has displayed her diversity with a guest-starring role on the live episode of “ER” and as the star of the Castle Rock comedy pilot “I Love Lupe.”
