Executive Producer
Veteran film and television producer Jim Serpico serves as executive producer of RESCUE ME, the new one-hour drama from Sony Pictures Television.
Serpico co-founded his production company, Apostle, with actor Denis Leary in 1994. Shortly thereafter they introduced their first feature film, "Love Walked In," at the Sundance Film Festival. A year later, their second Sundance film, "Monument Ave," was named one of the top ten films of the year by both The Boston Herald and The Boston Globe.
More recently, the duo has produced several projects for Comedy Central, including the critically acclaimed series "Contest Searchlight," a parody of HBO's "Project Greenlight." Serpico also produced "The Comedy Central Roast of Denis Leary" which was one of Comedy Central's highest-rated shows ever, and is working on a new animated series, "Shorties Watchin' Shorties" for the network.
Some of Serpico's other producing credits include the feature film "Blow" starring Johnny Depp, and the ABC television series "The Job."
Serpico is a native New Yorker, where he currently resides.
