ERIC MCCORMACK
Eric McCormack plays the part of Will Truman, a suave, dashing attorney from N.Y. who has a tender side.
A native of Toronto, McCormack's interest in acting started at an early age. McCormack's parents saw his talents early on. They paid for him to attend Ryerson Theater School and he then spent several years working in theaters across Canada, including five seasons with the Stratford Shakespearean Festival, where he played roles in several productions that included "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Henry V, Murder in the Cathedral" and "Three Sisters." He also appears in Susan Stroman's "The Music Man."
Eric then moved into television where he spent two years as Colonel Mosby on the series "Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years." He has also made guest appearances in "Ally McBeal," "The Outer Limits" and "Highlander."
His television film credits include playing leading roles in "Borrowed Hearts" and in the NBC miniseries "A Will of Their Own." He has also played roles in "Here's To Life" and "In From the Night" as well as "Holy Man," with Eddie Murphy. On the big screen, McCormack appears with a lead role in "The Sisters."
His hard work paid off in 2001 when he won a first Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in A Comedy Series for "Will & Grace."
