When you Download & Keep, you make a one-time purchase of a movie from a digital store. Once purchased, it’s yours to watch from a connected device, wherever you like, again and again!
DO MY PURCHASES TAKE UP SPACE ON MY DEVICE (e.g. Smart TV, tablet, smart phone)?
If you’re watching a movie from a digital store’s app on a connected device (e.g. Smart TV, tablet, smart phone), the movie will be streamed from the digital store using your internet connection. This doesn’t take up any storage space.
If you’ve chosen to download one of your purchases from a digital store’s app or set-top box, the film will be stored on your device. This will use some storage space on the device.
CAN I WATCH A FILM I'VE BOUGHT OR RENTED ON MY TV?
Yes - You will need a smart TV to do this. Go to your TV’s app store to see if your preferred digital store is available. By downloading the app and logging into your account, you should see your collection of purchases.
If you have bought or rented via Sky Store, Virgin Media, or BT TV your purchases will be stored on your set-top box.
When you hit play on your chosen movie or TV show these will be streamed, via the cloud, from the digital store to your TV.
CAN I WATCH MOVIES I'VE BOUGHT OR RENTED OFFLINE?
Once you’ve purchased a movie from a digital store, you can download these to watch offline and on-the-go! Visit the app store of your preferred digital store to download their app and start building your collection.
When you’ve logged into the app on your device, you will be able to download your purchases. Note that downloading your purchases will use memory space on the device.
CAN I WATCH MY PURCHASES ABROAD?
Outside of your home country, the selection of titles you are able to stream may change.
However, once you’ve purchased a movie from your favourite digital store, you can download these to watch offline and on-the-go! Visit the app store of your preferred digital store to download their app and start building your collection.
WHAT DOES 'WATCH NOW WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION' MEAN?
There is no monthly subscription required to make a one-time purchase of a movie from a digital store. Many subscription services also offer movies to buy or rent. You can buy or rent these for a one-off fee. Click here to see a selection of digital stores
HOW DO I RENT A MOVIE?
Check out your preferred digital store to see what movies are available to rent.
When you rent a movie from a digital store, you have around a month from the date of purchase to watch it. Be sure to check on your favourite digital store’s website, as the exact period can vary. After pressing play, you’ll need to finish watching within 48 hours.
Due to license agreements, movies aren’t always available to rent, so you may not always have the option to rent a movie from a digital store.
CAN I WATCH A MOVIE FROM A DIGITAL STORE IN 4K OR UHD?
Some digital stores offer selected films in 4K UHD. To watch in this definition, you will need an internet connection with a speed of 25Mbps minimum.

WHAT DOES PRE-ORDER MEAN?
To be among the first to see a film as soon as it’s available in digital stores, you can pre-order a movie to make sure you don’t miss the release date.
When you pre-order, you purchase it before it’s available to watch. Once available, it will show up in your movie collection on store when the film releases. Most films are available to pre-order from the day a film releases in cinemas.
